About Our Church

The Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America

The Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America (RPCNA) is a Protestant denomination rooted in the Reformed tradition, emphasizing the authority of Scripture and a commitment to covenant theology. The Kingship of Christ has been maintained as a foundational principle of our denomination.

Our subordinate standards include the Westminster Confession of Faith and the Shorter and Larger Catechism. Our constitution also includes the Testimony, the Directory for Church Government, the Book of Discipline and the Directory of Public Worship. These documents may be accessed on our Resources page.

In 1743 the first Reformed Presbyterian congregation was organized in North America. Today, congregations reach all across North America. We also acknowledge sister churches of Reformed Presbyterians in Ireland, Scotland, Australia, Canada, and elsewhere.

Our History in Columbia, Missouri

Our congregation began in 2009 with a small group of believers who had been worshipping with a local congregation of the Presbyterian Church in America (PCA). By 2010, the church was taken under the care of the Free Church of Scotland Continuing (FCC) and maintained that status until 2018 when the church came under the care of the Reformed Presbyterian Church of North America (RPCNA).

Our Practices

We faithfully preach the Word of God each Sunday and rejoice in the weekly Christian Sabbath. We sing the Psalms exclusively in worship, without the use of musical instruments.

We Baptize believers and their children in accordance with God’s Word. As members of the covenant, we encourage our families to include their children in the public worship service that they too might hear the Word preached and exercise saving faith in Jesus Christ.

We observe the Lord’s Supper quarterly, using a common table, a common loaf of bread, and a common cup of wine. We admit people to the Lord’s Supper based upon their profession of faith, their baptism, and membership of good standing in an evangelical church.

We enjoy our fellowship as a body of believers and seek to help each other in counsel and love. We meet regularly for prayer and enjoy being filled with other’s company (Rom 15:24). Please join us!
